It's like hen's teeth. Are you telling me the giant that is Intel can't supply dual core Pentiums to market and keep them replenished.

This is the same in the US, was is it a limited run or something? or did Intel notice that the cheap 4 thread Pentium made their i3 range obsolete and are now limiting availability.

Well its been out of stock for a while now on a few big sites now, Intel obviously see it cutting in to i3 sales and have held back supply.

Use Google shopping to search, you'll find a bunch of well known companies selling them. IIRC we were looking at the chip for the same purpose, back at launch. Mine has been running, passively cooled, in our 4k HTPC since launch and it's fantastic.

I got one, I'm just saying places like OCUK have not had stock in months, which says something about Intel withholding stock, of course there is still some stock at retailers.

I just got half a dozen of them, albeit from a German/Dutch supplier, but they worked out at only £48.odd each, so I can't grumble.

However, I do think the supply is being artificially constrained, by Intel which is daft, but hey, this is Intel, they are daft.

I noticed they're not even listed on here anymore? Shame as I was looking at getting one for a budget build.
