I have recently got a new laptop and as much as a try I just can't adapt to it's finger sensitive touch pad.

I have a Logitech MX518 on the main PC, and was thinking of transferring it to my notebook. After I have used lots of mice over the years it's the only one that properly fits my hand and it's the one that is the most comfortable. I'm thinking therefore of replacing it with a G5 which appears to be the only other logitech one that is the same shape. I would also have to get the 2007 edition as I want a back and forward button..

Is this correct?
Are there any others that can be recommended?
For those that have used both or the G5 how have you found it?

:)

G5 is a fantastic mouse and imo a good step up from the MX518 (thats exactly what i done, bought a G5 for my desktop used the 518 on my laptop)

However one prob i do have with the G5 is i play CSS at a very low sens, and if i try any fast reaction movements the lazer sometimes jerks around and I may end up pointing at the sky or something, niggles me a little bit. Maybe think about getting another MX518 as they are possibly the best optical mouse ive used.

I know this sounds weird, but it's the larger thumb area that makes it such a good mouse. I'm just trying to raise funds to get the 2007 edition of of the G5 :/

yeah i prefer the Logitech style mouse because of the same reason, ive tried loads of mice intelli, razer deathadder etc. But logitech ones always feel a hell of a lot more comfortable when using them.
