Hi Guys

Not sure if anyone has posted this problem before but anyway after installing the drivers my logitech G5 mouse freezes after i plugged in the USB device for the xbox 360 wireless pad.

It's well wierd because i got the USB device a couple of months ago and froze then so thought it was my windows xp just playing up, i knew i needed a format so waited till now and it still freezes even after a format, i haven't installed any mouse drivers yet just incase it could have been that.

Does any of you guys know what the problem is as its really frustrating, i've googled for help but couldn't find much.

Cheers

Dave

Tried using the latest drivers for both devices?

yea tried it but still no joy, but just had a read on the logitech forum and said try plugging the xbox 360 controller to a PCI USB card instead of directly to the motherboard, said on there might be a conflict with the nvidia chipset drivers.

Now just need to think if i have a PCI USB card laying around ..... hmmm

might be worth a try

If you get any joy, let me know as I'm having the same problem!!

It's not a G5 mouse though, it's a Revolution MX and I'm using Vista, but I have noticed everynow and then that it gets quite sporadic in it's movements when the Xbox is turned on.

UPDATE:
I bought the USB PCI card yesterday, installed it and then plugged my xbox 360 reciever in and guess what ......... it works 100% and my G5 mouse doesn't crash anymore ........... nice 1 :D

This usb pci card i have has the VIA chipset and it doesn't conflict with my motherboards nvidia chipset as the 360 receiver works only from the USB PCI controller card.

I know a lot of people were having problems with the G5 mouse crashing or simular mouse and this solution worked 100% so now i have a working xbox 360 pad and mouse without conflicts :D
