Recently I have been having issues with my G500. Ive noticed it in games for example when I try to drag items round in inventories they keep dropping or don't move. It seems as though even though I am holding down the left mouse button it releases sometimes. I tried to draw a few straight lines in paint and some were okay but most show the problem.

Has anyone else had similar problems and is there a solution before I contact Logitech? I bought this about 14 months ago from Ocuk, can see it in my order history but don't have the receipt - do logitech just go off serial numbers?

Have you tried other surfaces? If your mouse acts the same way on a mouse pad and say, your desk, then it is probably your sensor. Sensors can degrade over time, try cleaning, otherwise it will be time for a new mouse.

I doubt the surface has anything to do with it since its button related, for example in Skyrim i can't hold an arrow drawn because the button releases and looses the arrow.

Found some guy on YouTube who took his apart and put tinfoil on the bits the buttons press down on and put glue on the hammers to get it to work but not sure I can be bothered to do that. Have sent an email to logitech to see what they say

had a prob with an older mx 5xx logitech mouse and they didn't even ask for proof of purchase, just a serial number. took about 2 weeks for a new mouse to turn up and didn't even have to send off the old one.

got a g500 now and still going strong.
