The Gigaworks G550W I bought has suddenly stopped working. I switch it on and theres a click from inside the subwoofer and the power dies. Sometimes it'll stay on for a few seconds, other times it won't come on at all. I bought this back in June, about the 16th.. Do I RMA this back to Overclockers or has it been too long and I have to send it off to Creative? Or.. what?

Jeez, its quiet. I never realised how much I depended on sound. CDs, DVDs, Games..

I heard somewhere that those speakers often die due to the fuse blowing somewhere in the system. All you need to do if replace it and it might start working again. However, I don't know the fuse is, and what type it is. It also might be nothing to do with the fuse at all.

I did check the fuses, both the one in the plug and the one in the subwoofer, but both are fine. Reading the Creative forums, it seems to be a common problem for a lot of people, usually on the G500's and the S750's. It seems to be triggered by overheating, a cutout switch to stop damage to the system, but it doesn't seem happy about coming back on after the switch is flicked.

If I return it to Overclockers, would I be able to get a refund or would it be a repair job? I don't think I want to stick with these speakers, I'd rather go with my original thought of the Logitech 5.1's.
