G7 Owners - Has yours gone manky?

The glossy finish on mine has become 'matt' i.e. not shiny, where my hand and fingers are in contact.

I presume this is because of the salt in perspiration, which is eating away at the finish. It just makes my mouse look a bit rubbish as it's quite noticable on silver..

Anyone else got this?

the batteries with mine are lame, i ran one down in under 12 hours playing UT04

Under 12 hours is normal apparently as they are not high capacity batteries in order to keep weight down, I think.

My Microsoft wireless mouse lasted 5 months with just the first batteries it came with????!

my mx1000 tbh lasts at least 20 hours solid gaming, normal use of about a week.

I get this on my MX510. Can't you just wipe it off? That's what i do.

yeh but as Bobmunkhouse said because i had a mx1000 before as wel and for the £60 i paid for the mouse id want longer lasing battries they die in middle of games on me

How long had you had the mouse before this started? Is it new or have you had it ages?

I've had it 4-5 months. It didn't start immediately. I guess I must be a freak and have acid for sweat..
