My old favourite ever mouse is getting a bit ropey.
One of the many buttons is getting spongy

But I can't find any mice that are as good for productivity as this.

I love the precision and the ability to autoswap macro keys depending on application open.
I love the size (big mouse)
The free wheel/click wheel option.
The wireless/wired mode and AA battery

So is there anything comparable? Or is it one of those pieces of kit where there isn't anything as good?

I'd recommend the MX Master series of mice if you want to try something a bit different, but still high end.

Just don't get it in white like I did. You just touch that surface and it looks dirty.

These are actually both good suggestions. That lightspeed looks a bit like my g700. (not quite as nice actually). But it has all the buttons.

Even the g502 lightspeed looks good!

Can you solder? If so Button replacement on the g700 / g700s is common and cheap

I have an iron somewhere. I may try and dig it out.
It's a fantastic mouse really. Absolutely perfect in every way. And better than (for me) all the current alternatives.

Ill look into it. I'm used to tech being predominantly throw away now

My g700s is due for a button swap. Paid £5 or less for the switches and replacement feet. Will get around to it somewhen but like you really like my mouse
