G80 Preorders Gibbo?

Just wondering if there were going to be any? Any news would be good.

yes there will be pre orders just like there were with all the other high end cards when they first came out.

There were no preorders for the 7800s when they came out. Can't remember the 7900 launch too well.

i may have missed it but i havent seen any actual specific models/cards i.e. 8800gt or gtx. Surely these need to be known before pre-orders can be sorted?

Theres mention of a GTS, which replaces the GT and a GTX in the G80 specs thread.

For stupid people like me they should have three cards. Bargain, Normal, S*it Fast.

if its a hardlaunch then no need for preorders since stock will be in on the day of sale.

Do miss Pro and Ultra though, was pretty clear cut back then. Now you have things like GTO/XT/GT/Ultra/GTX/Pro/SE/LE

Gibbo has already said they will be taking pre-orders.

x1950 was a hard launch, and there was pre-orders on those.

Yeah as long as a set date is known, then its pretty easy to set up some pre-order thingy.

The 7800s just sorta popped up in a matter of a week or two before launch. There was loads of secrecy around the date and stuff.

I'm pretty sure 7900s were available for pre-order?

Hmmmm....anyway a price would be nice to know
