G80 / R600 added to my specs?

hello there, iv just been trying to work out how much exact 3dmark06 score i would get with lets say...

a 8800gts or a ati x2kxt-x card..


now iv done a quick cpu mark with my current specs (in sig) and here are the results:




would i break 10k?

No one knows what you'll score with a R600 since they aint released yet, with a GTS you should score between 9-10k.

r600 who knows?. You should be able to get up to 11k and more with overclocking the card(GTS). Easyrider scored the same as his GTX stock with his new 8800GTS.

I'm not 100% on this but just a rough estimate . Oh and why didn't you run a 3dmark with your 7800?.

I reckon 11K is asking a lot with a E6600 at 3Ghz tbh.

For reference I used to score 10767 with a E6600 at 3.8Ghz and GTS at 630Mhz core, 1900Mhz memory.

The 8800GTX would probably make a better comparison with an ATi x2kxt-x card.

With everything at stock, you should get over 10k

With your current setup (CPU @ 3Ghz), a GTX at stock should get ~10.8k.

With the card o/c'd to 640/2000, you should reach ~11.8k.

You'd probably need a higher CPU clock (~3.4Ghz) to get 12k+


The X2000XT-X should be a bit faster, but that's just speculation.

ok thanks, so i should get 9-10k ill be happy with that


btw, i get 4.6k total iwth my 7800gtx where as a 8800 will get 4k+ on each test over 8k total hehe
