Hi,

I have this mobo and it doesnt mention crossfire on the box or anything like that but it does on the gigabyte website!
http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3907&dl=1#sp
Multi-Graphics Technology

1.Support for AMD CrossFireX™ technology (PCIEX16 and PCIEX4)

Is it because the 4x seconds is too slow it does not advertise it on the box or something?
I dont plan on crossfire at the minute but its nice to know if its there, infact ill prob never use it but just found it wierd that it wasnt clearly marked on the box as crossfire.

Thanks,
Sean

The first slot gets 16X PCI-E lanes and the second slot gets only 4X, this isnt ideal and other boards (more expensive 990X/FX etc) will do it at an equal 8X/8X or 16X/16X

So it does "do it" just that the second GFX card will perform worse.

Yeah thats what i thought, thanks for clearing that up.
Id of thought 16x 4x vs 8x 8x would be roughly on par? I know its only the more expensive boards that do 16x 16x

After looking into it, it seems that at 1080p 16/4x vs 8/8x there is pretty much no difference 1-2% apparently its only at super high resolution multi monitor setups that it makes any difference.
