Morning!

I've got a burning question on my mind, finally decided to go with cheaper x4 quad before dozer arrives, can't take it much more on the laptop.

As far as i can see there are no massive changes in the build of the mobos, caps, sinks seem to be equally good. Colour i dont mind, eSata i don't really use either, GFX wise i only need single card, still going with 6950 2gb, gonna be using xonar dg which will be alright with either one. Both boards are same size, basically extra on FXA is marvell for eSata.

Not sure if i missed anything else, but that seems to be it. Did anyone else have simmilar decision to make, and what they gone with and why. One is around 90 cheapest, the other 120 cheapest, 30 quid difference for minor details.

Any input would be highly apreciated, thanks

bump. worryin reviews for ga-990xa-ud3, can anyone please share your thoughts? price gap between the 2 is 30-40 at least, and am only gonna use single gfx card, which means xa is a great choice

I decided to go with GA-990FXA-UD3. Good quality build, black board, sata 3, usb 3, esata. supports 2 gpus x16 however i wont go sli/xfire, got 580 and that should do.

Problems i found so far is northbridge is running very hot, sink on it is also loose, pretty sure what causes it, i replaced mosfet sink with Thermalright HR-09S and replaced sink on NB with Thermalright HR-05 IFX also added xilence 80mm fan on it, clips were included. Good board price difference over XA version was £25 which all the extras worth i recon
