GA-A75M-UD2H will not shut down or power on using the power button

I built this computer for my parents a while ago, all was fine no problems for around a year. The other day it would not turn on or power off correctly.

I took it apart and can't seem to resolve the problem. The power button will not allow the machine to turn off or on, I've held it repeatedly but that does nothing.

Nothing has changed in the configuration of the machine. The only way to turn the machine off is to physically unplug it. Once you put the plug back in, without touching the power button the machine kicks in, but will not boot until you touch the button.

If you shut down the machine will give a blank screen but the fans will not turn off.

Any one have any suggestions? Board? PSU? or something else?

I had the exact same problem. I found it out to be some dodgy USB hub I had plugged in. I had shut the pc down but fans and stuff was staying on because I guess the hub was drawing a lot of power.

I tried another PSU and it seems to be working correctly. Think it is the PSU someting is up with it.

No USB or anything plugged in, just keyboard, mouse and monitor.
