Hi,
Have the above motherboard w and currently have two spare ssd's that i want to stick in to give extra storage space, so 3 in total.

Currently board is set to AHCI for the single OS SSD. Whilst I dont think this is possible on the board, is it possible to run both of the additional ssd's as RAID whilst keeping the original OS SSD untouched?

Would a reinstall be needed if so in changing the chipset from AHCI to RAID?

Thanks

Not by the looks of it no, You could go the NVMe route for OS then raid the SSD's.

Not sure a reinstall but knowing windows more than likely .

I think reinstall will be needed. But you can try plugging the boot drive into usb via adaptor.

See if iy boots thid way. Most windows 10 will. Into bios change to raid. Back into windows install raid driver and then restart. Reconnect to chipset ports and it's in raid..... Obviously then set up your raid array etc...

wondering if the trick from ide to ahci would work for ACHI to RAID....

use to set IDE to ACHI and then boot into safemode - then restart and should boot to windows with ACHI protocols .
wondering if this would work going to achi to raid - once in safe mode install RAID drivers and reboot
