I'm struggling to get my Corsair memory working with the Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3. It's not on their official support list but it should work right?

It'll boot and the memory is recognised but Vista is behaving oddly. Taking ages to open winodws, close programs etc.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3, Rev 1.0, Bios F9
Cpu: E8200
Ram: Corsair, Part# TWIN2X4096-8500C5, http://www.corsair.com/_datasheets/TWIN2X4096-8500C5.pdf
Power Supply Unit: OCZ 500W Mod XStream Pro PSU

Here's my current settings, most stuff was set at auto. I'm not looking to overclock for now, just looking for a stable system...

Set DRAM Voltage to 2.1v.

Then change -

Standard Timing Control
CAS Latency Time -------- 5 ---------- : [Auto]
tRCD ------------------- 7 ---------- : [Auto]
tRP --------------------- 7 ---------- : [Auto]
tRAS ------------------- 24 --------- : [Auto]

to

Standard Timing Control
CAS Latency Time -------- 5
tRCD ------------------- 5
tRP --------------------- 5
tRAS ------------------- 15

Try 'Performance Enhance' on Normal or whatever the nearest setting is.

Could try upping 'MCH Core' by 0.05v.
