Im tearing my head out :)

I have 2 pairs/4 dimms of Corsair XMS3 - CMX4GX3M2A1600C9

Its on the compatible/supported memory list

But i cannot get all 4 to work together

i can have ANY 2 in slots 1 and 3

But none in 2 and 4, originally i thought RAM is bust, but they all work by themselves/in pairs. Then i thought Mobo might be broken however having 2 ports borken is highly unlikely and THERE IS LOADS of people having the same problem with gigabyte motherboards.

Ive tried raising qpi to 1.080, ive tried running the RAM voltage at 1.65v ive set the timings manually.

Spec is :

GA-H61M-D2H-USB3
i5 2400S
2 pairs Corsair XMS3 - 8GB in total.

please help me i need this up and running for tomorrow. :S

Regards

Update, mobo is fine, can put any stick into any slot by itself and it boots, so something to do with having all 4 sticks

Can have any 2 in any 2 slots!!!

So its only when i add sticks 3 and 4(to any slot) even if its just 3 dimms still doesnt boot, IM GOING MAD!!!!

Update 2: it wont boot with sticks in slots 1 and 2, however it will boot with 1 and 3/1 and 4/2 and 4/2 and 3

but even if im in slots 1,3 and 4 wont boot!!

What were you running the RAM at before you tried 1.65V?

Try lowering it 1.5V if you haven't already.

Try running it at 1333MHz assuming you aren't already (I think your board only supports up to 1333 MHz anyway).

Try setting the Command Rate to 2T or 2N.

I run 16gb of that in a H55M-UD2H at the mo, not a sb mobo but it is rock solid @ 1.5v 7,7,7,20 1333mhz..

sorry surveyor was really busy last night, im going to check now!!!

Atom making me feel bad :( hehe, you running 4 sticks? or 2 x 8gb?

Regards

I had 4 x 2Gb sticks running in my Gigabyte GA890 (AMD) at stock 1T with 1.5V.

Command rate 2T may help you though.
