GA-P31-DS3L onboard vs Audigy 2ZS

I've been using the Audigy 2 ZS for a while now and throughout this time, I've always had issues with crackly noise during gameplay under Vista.

Would there much of a difference if I switched back to the motherboards onboard audio?

That would depend a lot on what speaker setup you have.

not sure why you have issues with sound on your audigy2 card in vista. mine works fine in vista x64..... (and i used it fine in vista 32 bit for over a year too)

and the onboard sound on my p35 ds3l is crap compared to my audigy2. there's no way i'd use it. i realise the audigy is pretty crap by today's standards but it still blows away onboard sound. and i'm no audiophile either. it's only hooked upto my crappy mini hifi - but the difference between the 2 is night and day.

I'm using I-trigue 3450 2.1 speakers.

The issue with the crackling has been happening a lot but I've recently installed some new drivers specifically for Vista and the problem has yet to happen.
