to start with, I've had this board and processor Q6600 running at 3.2GHz (400x 8) no problem, then I rebuilt the computer in a different case, added a couple of hard drives and now it simply won't overclock at all. I try changing the settings and it always comes back saying it's running at (266x9) 2400mhz. I've flashed it back to an earlier bios, no change. what could be going wrong. The only thing that is different is that I'm now using all the available sata ports where as before I think I only used the first 2. any ideas why it won't OC? are there any settings in the bios that inhibit overclocking that I'm unaware of?

hope you can help

Tried clearing the CMOS or removing the battery for 5 mins?

If that doesn't work then try with just the 2 SATA devices connected.

thanks mate, seems to be working normally now. I have all the sata drives plugged in again, it must have been a bios thing.
