Ga-p55-ud5 has no sound in XP

XP sp3.

I've been trying to get my sound to work all night but nothing works.

The manual tells me if there is a problem to remove the the Microsoft UAA Driver for HD and then install the ones of the motherboard disc but they're not there to start with so I can't unistal them.
When I install the motherboard sound drivers they install without a hitch but there is no sound and no HD drivers showing in system manager, there are a few legacy and codecs listed in sound.

I've tried downloading a few different things but nothing helps

I don't really want win7 or Vista.


Oh when I did first try to install the motherboard driver selecting all there was an error that flashed up very quickly, I don't remember exactly what it said but it was something to do with key count fail it then went into some sort of loading loop for around 5mins so I quit it and restarted and the rest of the installation went perfectly.


Any help on this one please.
 
Thanks, I will try them next time I try my new PC.

I think I've Identified the problem though, I was using I streamlined version and it appears it doesn't contain some files that are needed for HDAudio.

I've checked my full version of XP and these files are on the disc so a full re-install of XP should fix that problem.
