Just took delivery of this mobo and slung an i5 760 in it. All appears to be working fine, but theres an odd thing happening here. When the cpu is idling, the voltage is 0.08v ish, BCLK is 133 but the multiplier is 25 which is way above even turbo mode (which is 22) and the cpu speed is 3.325ghz. temps are 30c ish across all cores and thats with a stock intel cooler
Now, if I start prime95, the voltage rises as it should to 1.1vcore, but the multi drops to 22 and the cpu runs 3ghz (obviously turbo mode is kicking in) and the temps rise to about 70c (remember its a stock intel cooler so its not gonna cool that well)
I'm a bit confused with this as by my reckoning the multi should be lower in idle and higher on load, but this is the other way round. I think the temps are lower due to the decreased Vcore in idle, so the temps are rising and lowering as they should.
I'm totally confused by this , anyone come across this before and if so is there a setting in the bios I can adjust?
Cheers :confused::)
