GA-P67A-UD3 (B3) - Need feedback

By all accounts, it's a ok board. I believe the UD4 has slightly better llc modes, if your looking to overclock.

You can't really go wrong with Gigabyte.

Since turning my back on ASUS, because of their awful warranty service, I've always been impressed with Gigabyte incarnations and their excellent support (UK based).

Having said that i decided for a change with my 2500K and went for the P67A-C45 (B3) - MSI's equivalent of Gigabyte's UD3 - as it was getting such favourable forum reviews - and so far I have been really impressed (apart from the Mickey Mouse UEFI).

I'm not saying buy the MSI but if you're on a fixed budget it's worth taking a look at the MSI reviews as you get a lot of quality kit for your money.

The UD4 seems a good board by all accounts but have seen a few minor problems reported by owners of this board but it will be much more reliable than the asus.

UD3 perfectly fine.

It was not easy getting 4.7 with the P8P67M-PRO which I had previously. With the UD3 it does it with ease and higher is achievable.

It was a bit of a difference going back from a GUI BIOS to a DOS screen type BIOS but who sits in the BIOS all day?

If you don't need extra frills the UD3 is a better choice than a UD4.

can anyone confirm the amount of sata ports on this board Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 overclockers state x4 SATA 6GB/s ports, x4 SATA 3GB/s ports, x2 eSATA 6GB/s ports but from what pic shows its only 6 sata ports.

The 2 eSATA ports are at the back of the MB and the 2 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors and 4 x SATA 3Gb/s connectors are on the motherboard (6 as pictured).

This tallys with the Gigabyte blurb on the website.

Yer its just the way overclockers put the details as it makes it sound like you get more sata ports than you actually do Description is wrong.

Good luck with it and let us know how you get on as there's not much forum banter about the UD3.

What CPU are you planning on getting and do you plan to overclock? If you are it would be interesting to know your results and volatages.

i7 2600k , I have Corsair A50 so i dont know if i can OC that much with it ;)

But will let you know when i get it.

You should get a very respectable clock with that combination of hardware - the A50 is a solid performer and the 2600K is a great chip.

Have you bought all the kit yet and what are you using it for?

Good luck with it.

Yes i have all PC parts already and its working but i want to change mobo because of sound problem, last time i have sent p8p67 to OC but they replaced it instead of giving me refund , so i contacted them and told them i want refund this time.

Atm im using Intel cooler from the box, the problem with Corsair A50 is, when i connect it to p8p67 there are only 2 ram sockets available only :/ its little too big.

Im gonna try to install OS X 86 on it , and im gonna use it most for audio production and gaming.

Cheers
