I have purchased a GA-Z68AP-D3 REV2.0. Built the system today and it just won't boot. All the fans come on but no post screen or display. Tried with the graphics card in and out (Using onboard). Cleared the cmos. Unplugged all drives etc etc etc. Nothing.

Anyways it clearly states on the box and on Gigabytes site that its compatable with Intel 22nm cpu's.

^ See this link for sombody with the same issue as me.

Ok so on the box it supports 22nm cpus, on there cpu chart my cpu is supports them. But in reality it's not supported unless you run the compatable bios!

I need to update the bios as clearly my mobo has not got a ivybridge compatable bios?

Would OCUK exchange my board or even flash it for me? As how can I update the bios if my supposed "compatable" cpu is'nt even compatable????

Not too happy :(

Any help much appreciated guys!

Thanks for the reply. I guess ive hit the nail on the head then.

Wish I spent the extra £40 a went for a Z77.

Shouldn't really have to spend any extra money on somthing that is claimed to work together out the box though. Ive used all my budget up and now I have a system I can't use....not happy :(

Is there not anyway I can flash the bios as the system is? Obviously no post screen though. :(

Funny you should post that, thats what I was going to get but then I bought my current board as it was cheaper. Big mistake lol

Ive ordered the D3H and some new paste for the heatsink as the stock pad is obviously knackered.

Will give OCUK a bell on monday, or may just ebay the board as I have some old parts I need to ebay anyways.

Not OCUK's fault at all. It's Gigabytes fault for saying it's 22nm compatable... Also my fault for not researching I guess.

Thanks so much for the fast replys. £100 light (which is not good lol) and stressing as I have all day monday to play, but now I will be sitting here looking at an empty case lol.

I guess my board will turn up tuesday for the next day delivery? Or would I be lucky to get it monday?
