Seems my NIC on my 965P_DS3 has stopped working on XP

Hardware is ok, have got the latest drivers from Marvell but symptoms remain the same, flashing orange light on the NIC, and no lights on the switch.

Windows says "Cable disconnected" although it was fine before.

So I popped a Intel PCI network card in there on the same cable and its fine.

Any tips/pointers? Its a rev 1 board. F12 bios.

Go Into the BIOS and look for the smartlan option. It measures the leangth of the cable thats plugged into your onboard lan. If nowt comes up, then its borked! If it does work then.. erm... Someone else step in please :)

Hmm I did look at that last night but can't remember what it showed.

However I tried two cables, and then tried them again in the Intel NIC I put in the box and they work fine on that.

If I reboot the box, the lights on the switch the cable is connected and the lights on the nic port on the motherboard are all green a flashing normally, however as soon as it boots windows the nic light flashes orange and the switch light goes out.

Anyone with any pointers as to where I should look for a fix, I can't find anything searching other than the entry in the faq on this board.
