How do you remove the residue left behind by Tree Sap from the paintwork??..

My Civic has a Blob in the middle of the bonnet and another just above the rear window on the drivers side!...

Basically the Car was sitting under a tree for a week which splodged Sap on the car!, and when I got back it was baked on!!

The Car is Silver and the residue (which is like concrete) is White!... It just makes the car look crap.. Looks like a Hooge Scratch!, but I know it does come off (I tried it on a small patch on the one on the back window!)..

I'll get some piccies up later.

I want to remove it without damaging the paint (unless thats already happened and I now need a re-spray  )..

Help!. :(

I know their not Big (The Bonnet one is about 1.5" top to bottom) but their annoying!.. Though they do appear to be waring off after each wash (gradually).

Might give the Clay Thing a go!... Cheers.

Any other Suggestions :D
