Gaahhhh!!! Frickin' Steam

After several hours of downloading TF2 through steam logged on today to have a play and got "Friends.dll" error. So I decided to repair steam with SteamInstall.msi and its only gone and got rid of all the .gcf files :mad:

so i have to re-install everything again.

Umm... lesson to be learned: Look at the steam forums before rushing into anything, they had posts up about the problem within a few minutes, and it was fixed after about 5 minutes.

I did look at the forums and they said delete the friends.dll in the steam directory, which i did and kerblam the same crappy message. Tried on another forum and the general consensus was to do a repair.

Flippin' flip and flip.

All I wanted to do was to have a play on TF2 and now I'm gonna have to wait till tomorrow as it seems to have slowed down to 30 k/bs.
