Gah, cant get pes6 option file onto ps3 pls help

i bought pes6 for ps2 to tide me over until pes7 comes out, ive found an option file on web that updates loadsa stuff, but for the life of me i cant copy it over, i stuck it on an ipod and connected it, ps3 sees the ipod but doesnt see the save file (its in psv format)

do i need to set up some folder structure???
 
i dont get it, surely it should be easy i have a legit copy of the game and an option file (save file) i just want to put the save file on the virtual mem card not patch the game or anything???
 
not as easy as that

pc version u just swap out the option file


but the ps2 3 or xbox versions have the option file built in and the game has to be patched to get it in there
 
Depends on what you have got really, if its just an option file then you should be able to copy that onto the PS3 and replace your current one, if its new crowd sounds etc, then they need to be patched into the iso.
 
To the OP can you tell me where and how the PES save files are stored on the ps3? Is there a folder somewhere with the three files icon.sys, icon_view and a file something like BESLES-53544PES6OPT. If these files are on the ps3 and you can write to whatever folder they are in, then you can get a prog to extract these files from a ps2 pes6 save file and presumably manually copy these to the ps3.

yeah but if you ripped the game you would have an iso file, some PES patches need to be patched directly to the iso then burnt to cd, if it is just an option file then this should be a case of putting on a memory card and overwriting your current file, I would ask over at evo-web.co.uk forums mate probably find your answer :)
