Gah, my battery just died, or did it?

So according to my Vaio it no longer has a battery installed :(

It's been showing no signs of loosing charge whatsoever as far as I can tell, coming up on two years old and then nothing.

Now I am a little concerned as to wether it is the battery that has died or something in the laptop, ie: the charging daughter board.

What do you think?

Stuggling to find anybody local with a Vaio that uses the same battery, anyway I was able to get a multimeter into the cells inside which shows that they do indeed have plenty of juice left in them, now I just need to work out how to open the thing up without breaking it.

Well, I did get it apart... not only was it held together with screws and clips but it was well glued too. The cells were fully charged but I couldn't get the thing to work at all and can only put it down to the control circuit in the battery having died. My replacement battery arrived from HK this morning and started charging straight away which was a relief, looks to be a genuine Sony one too, although at £33 vs £180 odd direct from Sony I was willing to take the chance
