I've been wondering after reading through a few things if it is at all possible to still gain some muscle size/ strength while on a cutting period? I know the general rule is to build muscle you need an increase of calories, which a cut doesn't exactly offer. However if I were to work hard and eat well, yet still deficiting from my normal bulking diet would it be possible even if it was minimal?
I ask because since starting my bulk 4 months ago I've gone from a level where I found it difficult to shoulder press 17.5kg dumbells to now getting a good 6 reps up on 30kg dumbells. Looking back over the last few months I guess I just want to still keep gaining, however I really need to cut as I have to stick to my plans and my clothes are too tight
