Gainward 4850 golden sample

A friend has the 4850 golden sample (default running at 700mhz on the core), and to get it on his motherboard we had to remove the cowling (4 tiny screws) on from the heatsink. There was no possible way unless you can get one SATA connector facing one way, and the other the other way, or by cutting off a bit of the cowl. Darn packard bell and foxconn uber cheap combo lol.

Just gonna let you guys know how he gets on with this, and if I need to make up a cowling or strap on a larger fan to compensate for the reduction in efficiency.

If anyone knows of alternate facing sata connectors or VERY VERY flexible connectors then please speak up now :)

OH... btw.... it seems to run very nicely and very very smooth gameplay. (Only tried cod4 as was having a dinner party whilst fitting lol).

I couldn't find any last night, and even if I could they are vertically stacked instead of side by side. I would need the two right angled bends in opposite directions to fit into the board. It would likely have to be a very shallow profile on the right angle bend as well.
