I think I might buy one of these but am not sure which one;

  • Gainward BLISS Geforce 7900 GT "Golden Sample" 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-033-GW)
    - GeForce 7900 GT Core running at 550MHz+ (Great Overclocking Potential upto 650MHz core)
    - 512MB GDDR3 Extreme Memory running at 1400MHz+ (Great Overclocking Potential upto 1700MHz)
  • Gainward BLISS Geforce 7900 GT "Goes Like Hell" 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-034-GW)
    - GeForce 7900 GT Core running at 580MHz+ (Final release speeds will be quicker)
    - 512MB GDDR3 Extreme Memory running at 1650MHz+ (Final release speeds will be quicker)

The difference in cost is £35.25. Is it worth it for the extra ooomph? The other thing im wondering is; surely I could just change the clock speed on the cheaper card to get the same performance? Will there actually be any real physical difference between these two cards? Are they just set to different speeds by default?

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You wont reach GLH speeds from a golden sample because the GLH will clock even higher than the already stock speeds and besides it's more premium quality over a normal golden sample
