gainward 8800GTS 512MB problems

I got the Gainward 8800GTS 512MB from OcUK but it wont post with the ASUS maximus formula SE , the monitor wont come on?

Anyone know of similar issues or any fix?

I RMA'd it once and it came back fine. Ive tested all other components and they are fine...

By not POST do you mean you don't even get the beeps? Or you do and it's an error code.

What model PSU?

No post as in the monitor does not come out of standby? And LCD poster hangs at countmem...(ive rum memtest on each module for 7 passes , no errors)

I have the corsair HX620 PSU and have swaped in a different one with same results.

I starting to believe this is an isse with the Asus maximus Formula motherboard , that has given me nothing but trouble....Maybe ill RMA it again..or get something new that works

Yeah I put in another 7 series card at it posts fine , but other issues . Have to reset Cmos each time i boot. So even when its at default settings only way to get into windows is clear Cmos and press F2 load default settings....

Any ideas or should i RMA it again and ask them to have a more thorough look?

Even if there is a fault with graphics card (which I doubt) all the other issues sound more like a faulty motherboard or ???

If you can try your gpu in another comp.- if all works o'k you know its good
