Hello all, I received my Gainward GTX 780 Ti through the post today and installed it, when I reached desktop the first thing I noticed was that it did not offer to installed default drivers for the card which seemed odd, I normally get the latest from Nvidia anyway so that was my next stop.
Now I installed the latest drivers and it showed the usual having to restart which I did, next the PC started to boot and reached the part where is shows windows it about to load the desktop but after that point the monitor just showed nothing was conected:confused:
I racked my brains for a few hours checking if the bios had any updates but I was already up to date, I decided to re-install the drivers just incase of a duff install but still no joy:confused:

My operating system is windows 7 64bit
My power supply is an Antec 900wat
motherboard is a sabertooth z77
Processor ivybridge i7 3770K

If you have any idea`s which I may of missed please let me know.
Thanks for your time

Also, are you using HDMI? Make sure you're not running a standard HDMI cable over 1440P or similar, won't work. Try resetting VGA via boot menu (F8) too.

Hi guys thanks for the help, I have removed it and replaced it and on using another slot makes no difference.
I am using HDMI at the moment when there has been no graphics card in the machine basically plugging it into the motherboard at the back of the PC so I can use the graphics on the ivybridge processor but when I add the New card I change the imput source to DVD-D and use the relevant monitor lead.

Try resetting VGA via boot menu (F8) too.
I will give that a try now.
Thanks

It could possibly need a MOBO BIOS update. Check to see if you have the latest. What make and model is that Antec bud?

Hello I have the most updated bios for the sabertooth z77 board which is the 2014.

The Antec 900 model number is HCG-900

At the end, I would try it on a fresh installation of windows before giving in.
I Really do not want to go down that route as my system has far too much stuff on and has taken a fair while to get running how I like it.

Thanks for the help all

Hello all, just an update to this thread to say after an RMA the card was faulty, what are the chances of having two cards faulty
During this period the 14 days where I could get a refund was running out swiftly so I decided to get a refund this time around, I have not given up completely on the Gainward card but as you can imagine I have lost a lot of confidence purchasing another.
Cheers all
