Hi All,

I have a couple of 260 'Golden Sample' cards running in SLI.

I have noticed that the cards seem to get very hot and that there is not much airflow coming out the rear of my case through the slatted backings plates of both cards.

I am guessing this is due to the open sides and end of the card.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to either get the hot air out better or increase the cooling performace? I have looked into water cooling however the guys over a gainward decided to use a non custom PCB meaning no waterblocks or heatsinks for RAM/VRM etc will fit!

Any help would be great

Thanks

What Temps. are you getting ?

What fan speed are cards running at ?

What's case airflow like ?

P.S. Gainward do NOT like you to change cooler - breach of warranty :(. Have a look at their web site.

You could try downloading EVGA Precision and manually set the fan speed higher for more airflow. That should work. Otherwise if you aren't bothered about vioding the warranty, you could put an aftermarket cooler on each of them but I don't really know much about sli compatible aftermarket coolers for the 260s. Thermalright usually do pretty nice aftermarket coolers for those situations though.

i've got 2 of these in sli as well and my loaded temps are about 70'c for one and 65'c for the other @ 40% fan speed (stock speed for this card), overclocked get's a little hotter but a little tweek to fan speed sort's that out
