Anyone got this? Can get it for around £20 including both the expansions.

I was reading about the blog on it by a dude on pcgamer staff.

Sounds pretty darn good tbh.

worth getting?

and tbh: im getting tired of COH. I played some star trek strategy game a while ago is it like that? (cant remember the name lol)
How about Deuteros is it similar to that?

any tips on this?

heres what i do: explore with ships; setup mining base at sol asteriod. built a few colony ships send them out and colonize planets.
research universal translator then just research stuff as i go.

The korgath have been in touch saying something about some planets belonging to them. Nice of them to say hello :)

what else do i do? i cant seem to be able to build fighters or attack ships?

I'll make it simple.

BUY IT!

This is not a quick game, it is not fast paced or very quick to get into. It is however, highly addictive and amazingly deep, but still fairly easy to learn.

It takes time to get going, but the way there are three types of weapons and corresponding armours, makes for some clever battles. The AI is also one of the best in its genre.

The expansion pack (included in gold) is also tip top, one of the best expansions for a game in a long time.

For some reason I can't get into it, and I must've spent solid days playing Master of Orion, Ascendancy and Birth of the Federation. But then, I can't really get into Civ 4 either, and I prefer Shogun to Rome, so what do I know.

Still, I'll give it another crack soon. Or, convince BOTF to run on this machine.

I have the Gold Edition installed but never played it as I can't find the manual anywhere, and it's a game that really needs a manual.

Just read a manual for any other 4x turn-based space strategy game and you'll get it. ;)
