galaxy tab vs ipad

asking on behalf of the misses twin sister, they got a netbook, its slowing down and they want a change, so im hoping i get the netbook

but they looking at replacement for it,

out of the two which one is better suit for their needs, they use the netbook for ebay,facebook, web browsing and making the odd CV if needed etc, no gaming at all.

the galaxy tab she said she can get for £300-£350 and the ipad £370-£450. is it worth the difference ? ? ?

any help would be great

ipad is bigger, more apps, more fluid to use

i would say it was better overall

Must agree, however with only about 30 minutes experience with browsing on one, i think they are great!

Best thing i would say, would be to keep an eye out on Android 3.0 and its release, was showcased at CES 2011 and it did look great, a step above and a giant leap ahead of the Apple iOS.

Hmm, a difficult one unless its only being used in the house then its easy - Ipad. If its gong to be used out and about then i've found my tab better (it helps i can pocket it without needing to carry a bag with me). So my advice is get both, not great advice i admit but i do love both of them

i dont think both would be an option, she is buying it for her partner who has more phones than phones4u, so it will be used for in and around the house. so we all in agreement that ipad would be best even thou a bit more pricey ?

I probably sound like a broken record, but for half the price you could have the advent vega, bigger and more powerful than the galaxy tab. But you have to put the MoDaCo rom onto it, which is slightly techy so maybe a no no for a female. (sexist but true).

edit - so yes, the ipad is probably the better choice here.
