Ok, so I have a Pi and that is currently setup as a DNLA server and a File Server as well as a VPN setup for me to connect back into the home network.
On the File Server/NAS share that it is running is a ton of photos that get synced down from mine and the other halfs Google accounts so that they are local and so that we never run out of free space. Basically I have bash scripts that sync using gdrive to a local folder, and then move older photos out to another folder, and then sync again to effectively remove them from google drive.
So I have a ton of photos going back over 10 years (and more when I get old family photos from the folks) that I have in files on the NAS that aren't really that easily view-able.
Currently I use the DLNA viewer on the TV to view them every so often, but I really want to set a service up and running on the PI that basically serves up a website of thumbnails where I can then open up the original image. If I could get something that displays them similar to google photos (i.e. chronological order ignoring folder structure), then that would be awesome. Also I don't want to move away keeping the images in the existing file format that they are in.
Can anyone recommend a bit of software to do this?
