Game activation limits question..

I have many PC games with activation limits and i was wondering if there anyway to see how many activations are left on each game ?

Crysis 2 which uses TAGES Solidshield has a file named "activation" in the following directory.

steamapps\common\crysis 2\bin32

By rights, other Solidshield games should have the same, too.

I'm not sure about SecuROM or any other form of DRM as I try to avoid buying games that are laced with the poison.
