Game Audio's role in immersion.

Hi everyone,
I am in my final year of university and for my dissertation I am researching the role of audio in creating an immersive world within a game.

It would help me out loads if you could fill out this questionnaire so I can get some basic knowledge for my research. I know what I like but I need to know how everyone else feels.

If it helps you're disseration at all, I would say that I only get immersed in a game when I have headphones on, otherwise I have the TV on in the background so the game doesn't get my full attention

You may want to take a look Sounds of Skyrim Project on YouTube and see how much of an atmosphere it creates over Vanilla Skyrim.
