Why didn't you just take it into the toilet?

Fail, etc.

You know its portable right? You could have played it while on the loo. :D

I never had one but my sister did so use to steal it, went to Spain and bought one of those 88 games in 1 carts, turned out it was just 20 games repeated.

The gameboy was one of the best gadgets ever to be released.
Couple this with Tetris and Nintendo had the perfect formula.

Pure genius!

Still got mine somewhere - it came in a clear plastic box I think.

I've still got my Gameboy SP with Tetris plugged in fully charge, it has to be the game that will never get outdated for me. I prefer it to the new Tetris DS for some reason.

all I need is for N to release Pokemon Red and Tetris to the DSi store at an extortionate price and I'll be happy XD

I was 11 when the gameboy was released. I can remember being in woolworths and they had a stand set up with 4 opposite facing gameboys around a pillar (make sense?) the sound of 4 tetris' still rings in my head and when I think about it, it seems quite special.

Not THAT long ago I managed to import one the back-lit Gameboy SP's (no not the FRONT-lit version with a light skimmed across the screen but a proper back-lit LCD) They never got released here and it was very special :p

Now I have a PSP and DS (as you can see) and I prefer the DS. The PSP is far superior in terms of graphics but I just prefer the pick up and play factor of the DS with it's casual games. I still can't believe that Nintendo dropped the name 'Gameboy' from it's hand-helds! It's like the Hoover of vacuum cleaners.

Oh and the worst thing about the original gameboy: No save game in mario land :o
