Game Brightness "Question"

Do you guys adjust in game brightness/black level in the games video settings? Or do you just calibrate once and play all games with you monitors settings?

I calibrate my screen from day one and then I find some games are overly bright or too dark and adjust them in the games settings. I find you can't calibrate your screen for all games as all games have very different brightness settings out of the box.

Ever game is different, if it offers options I make it slightly on the bright side rather than the suggestion

Usually just adjust in game, mainly so I can be a little girl in scary games and wash all the dark bits out

I always adjust in game until I can barely see the picture as per the instructions

Some games do seem to have very bright settings by default though, as on a few occasions I have had the brightness down as far as it can go, and I can still see the image displayed quite clearly. I never bother changing my monitor once I have calibrated it.

Calibrated my monitor and used an ICC profile for my monitor, both from TFT Central. I rarely make changes to game brightness unless i notice a specific issue.

Thanks guys, I normally don't bother changing the brightness in game that much. But like matt said I did notice that I have been playing Shadow warrior with brightness way to high.
Went into settings and set it to how the game wants and I am shocked at the difference in image quality.

I have always thought if you use Windows built in calibration tool you be good.

i just looked on that site and the database doesnt seem to have many models... only shows 4 IIyama models of which none are mine...

am i looking in the wrong place?
