does anyone do this.
many times ive played a game say like batman or hl2.
reinstalled windows or deleted saves by accident or delete the game for space
then never want to play it again because you its boring to get the same bit again?

in the past ive done this on

halflife 2 - reinstalled windows (one mission from the end!) ended up jumping to hl2 ep1 instead.

Batman - deleted wrong game.

bioshock - got bored deleted the game few weeks later try to play it look at what i done already cannot be bothered.

NEW VEGAS 100+ hours done all the side missions I could find went everywhere just had the last few story missions to do forgot to copy my save and formated my pc :(

In Final Fantasy VI I spent forever leveling every character up to 99 and teaching them every spell and overwrote the save with one right at the beginning of the game :(.

I lost my gta 4 save so I just used a hack to swap in someone elses. Also couldnt do the last mission in one single go so fed of repeating had to cheat on that

This is the highest use of cheats, they are there for playtesting or this scenario

I managed to delete my Wood Elf on Skyrim. I had completed the main story quests and some of the side quests and I couldn't be bothered to go through it all again.

I still have the game installed but it gets very little playtime.

I used to be very paranoid/OCD about archiving savegames on games I stopped playing for whatever reason (typically due to getting stuck) and still have dozens of them stashed away in a directory on my current PC despite many of them not having been progressed in over 5 years. So it is very rare I ever hit this situation.

I do tend to give up on a game if something goes awry however for example my Test Drive Unlimited save got corrupted somehow losing me hours and hours of progress so I ditched the game at that point.

Anyway nowadays I am a lot more blase about uninstalling games without first manually backing up the same. I'm sure I'll get caught out one of these days by some of those games that put savegames in 'random' folders (all that bla bla "roaming" nonsense outside of the main documents folder).
