Game console networking question.

Hi guys,

I thought this would be the best place to ask as its a networking question in general.

I have a network cable plugged into my PC on my bedroom and im looking to utilize that cable for my Playstation 3 also. I was hoping someone could tell me what the best solution would be.

- My thoughts were possibly some kind of ethernet adapter plug that allows two cables to plug into a single network cable.

- Or perhaps a mains powered hub?

Although im really unsure on what would work so that I could play my console cabled and also have my PC still cabled up.


Any advice would be great, thanks!

Sorry should've clarified, The cable comes from a Virgin router at the other end of the house. Im not to up on my networking to know if I can go "Router/Modem > Cable > Switch > Cable > Console"

If thats possible, i'll be a happy chappy
