Game Crashing

Had this problem for a month or 2 now, we're the game crashes to desktop with no error messages.

I've tried all sorts, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, formatted pc, ran memtest and did 10 passes with no errors.

I have no idea what it is, anyone with any ideas or had any similar experiances?

Spec is :

Core 2 Duo E6400
Corsair XMS2 PC2 6400 1gb
Asus P5W DH
Ati X1900XT
Seagate Baracuda SATA HD

Anymore info you guys need just let me know, would be much appreciated!

Used to get something similar on Oblivion, turned out it was an instant messenger i had open at the time, closed that down and the problem was solved. Maybe something similar is causing your problem? Try shutting down any unnecessary programs?

You're lucky. My crap dell memory is causing my machine to freeze and require a reset in most games. Make sure you close any unnecessary processes that are running in the background. Use Process Explorer to find out what is running under explorer or rundll as these can generally be closed down without problems.

I've tried that as well, ive had it so only drivers and the basic windows processes are running and it still does it.
