After watching this weeks Zero Punctuation there's an ad for a new website that Yahtzee is part of, I'm just watching their pilot episode now so don't lynch me if it's rubbish as I'm only a couple of minutes in.

I tried watching it earlier, couldn't watch it. Doesn't have the same spark that the zero punctuation reveiws themselves have. It does have a few funny bits but the majority of it pales in comparison to the video reveiws you can get off other more established sites. Hopefully they can get a decent script writer and experiance to improve their show.

Anyone remember Bits on C4? That was a gaming show I could watch. 3 decent-to-drop dead gorgeous gaming girlies that arsed about and looked like they were having FUN. Wasn't exactly an in-depth analasis of gaming but who cared. They played Tekken and wore pvc Nurses outfits.

3 hairy blokes on a sofa, trying to out-deadpan each other? No thanks.

It really annoyed me how when yahtzee was going for his whole zero punctuation review type thing that the camera kept cutting to the other two guys just giggling at him

You actually think his humour was high brow? LOL! Nothing clever about being dry and sarcastic.

Its very intuitive and well informed. You maybe havent been gaming long enough to get a lot of it. You realise its not meant to be a nice unbiased game evaluation dont you? Its a socially reflective mockery of the current climate of disillusionment with gaming. Its a verbal slap in the face reminding us of how much we ignore because "well its a game isnt it". Yahtzee, ironically, reviews games more accurately than most in the press simply because he calls it how it is. There is frankly a lot of stupid stuff in games that we all ignore, but we know its there, he highlights this extremley well.

But i'll be fair if your not in your 20's and havent owned most consoles of the last couple of decades, a lot of the humour and references will go above your head.

Its not his reviews Im fully referring to. Some of the Zero Puncuation stuff is OK but its obvious thats how he is in real-life. Mocking everything in a sense of "Im better than you". I found it hard to watch. He is just extremely arrogant, angry, obnoctious, not funny and seriously seriously saractastic, sarcasim being the lowest form of wit and all that. He just kinda annoyed me to the point where I had to switch it off. Im 22 and you seem to be judging my intelligence a bit etc. I do get the references but his social skills do go way over my head! As a reviewer he is good, but I found that persona (if it is a persona) on screen was serious cringe, he is just an uber uber negative geek and his attitude/approach just didnt flow with me. IMO.
