Hi guys, just moved to a new house and have poor net speeds, 2.5mb - 3mb max, so i pick my times to game, i have a static ip service for an extra few quid a month which helps me stay around 3mb, as neighbours only get 1 - 2mb :(

anyway im coping and when i game i get low pings and no lag. however when playing bfbc2 i lose connections to the game each time i play, anywhere from 10min - hour into the game which is frustrating, called o2 and they reported no drop outs so im not losing connection to the internet.

i had this pc working in my old house with no issues, so i know the firewall and av is set right.

any tips or advice ?

Has anything else changed since you moved properties? ISP? Router?

Also - when you loose connection to the game - can you still connect to other services - e.g. these forums or do you loose all internet connectivity?

yeah someone gave me a tip about disabling UPnp and that has done the trick, so my next questions is pro and cons of UPnp being on and off?

am i better off just getting a good router?
