Game freezes in TOCA 2 with steering wheel plugged in...

I have been happily playing TOCA 2 using my pad and I decided to give it a try with my Thrustmaster steering wheel....
I can assign the controls but the game pauses for 3-4 seconds every few seconds in the game!?!?!

I am using the latest drivers off the website and I'm on the latest patch for the game!!!

Any ideas anyone???

Unlpugged the pad? May seem a silly idea but if you have more than 1 controller plugged in it often gets a little grumpy...

Is it a force feedback steering wheel?

If so this is a known problem and there's a fix on the codemasters website.

You need to set the Toca 2.exe (or however it is named) to have high priority in taskmanger (right click on it). You can create a shortcut that does this with an entry in the target path.

This same problem also applies to Toca 3 for those suffering similar problems.
