Game freezing

my friend played Call of Duty 4 on pc and his game keeps freezing "i will be playing a game and then after i have been playing for about the time will varie from when it freezes the screen will freeze"

I say it is the Graphics card over heating .. he think the PSU does not supply the grhics card with enough power

Any help plz

whats his full system spec? could be either need spec before anything else, also what about error codes? does he get any?

Yeah, what card does he have, + which psu, use rivatuner to turn up fan speed, then you can see

it is 9800 GT on a intel Quad Core system
