Game issues

I'm running Vista RC2 and had a random urge to play Close Combat: A Bridge too far, a rather old game (1998) and designed for Win 95. I installed it and set it for Win95 compatability but when I start the game it comes up with the old loading bar and curser and music from the microsoft video plays but nothing else. The microsoft music stops and you are left with a cursor and black screen.

Any ideas why it doesn't work?

The game was designed for Win95, windows compatibility mode is not 100% perfect, not everything works, same with XP.

Not much help but you could always give the latest one a whirl:

It's a remake of the third game I believe.
