Game locked up now PS3 hangs on GT5

Ok was playing some GT5 this afternoon and went to start a race but my contoller buttons wouldnt work, thought ok try another controller but same thing. Only option I had was to switch off the PS3 and restart it but now it hangs on the accessing game data page with the cursor over the OK button but once again no buttons on any controller work, it just hangs there. Tried Fifa11 and it woks fine..... so any ideas whats up or how to get around this ? Cheers

Didn't someone else report this and in the end they deleted the game data off the HD and re-installed.. Maybe try this?

Ok so how do I go about doing this ? (only got the thing a couple weeks ago and aint got a clue) Cheers

Delete Game Data

Find the "Game Data Utility" folder under "Games" in the Cross Media Bar.

Find the game data you wish to delete in the "Game Data Utility" and highlight it.

Press the "Triangle" button to open up the options menu.

Select and press "Delete." Select "Yes" to confirm the deletion, and the game data will be removed from the hard drive.

Be sure to select "Game Data Utility," and not "Saved Data Utility," which contains all of your game saves.

Its not your save game BTW. Don't delete this. You need to delete the game data. Its in the games menu -

Ok deleted all the content (bar the saved game info) and still no luck .... once it updated the game to 1.05 (think it was that version) it just hung on the same page accessing game data.

Anyone else any ideas ?

OK sorted and just for anyone else that has same problem ...

You MUST make sure the controller is assigned as Number '1' so it will let you get past the loading game data screen.
