Whats been the best game for the first 6 months of 2010?

Heavy Rain
God of War 3
Red Dead Redemption
Mass Effect 2
Alan Wake
Battefield Bad Company 2
Just Cause 2
Super Street Fighter 4
Final Fantasy 13
Bioshock 2
Super Mario Galaxy 2

Also,the amount of sequels is kinda sad. Alan Wake being the only true new ip from that list.

Torn between ME2 & BC2. Long time BioWare & Battlefield fan.

The again I haven't switched any console on in months & the only other game I've played on that list is JC2, which was alright.
 
Coin toss between Heavy Rain and God of War 3 for me. Heavy rain was the best 'experience' but god of war 3 had some utterly epic moments and fantastic battles.

Demon's Souls will certainly be a contender if it keeps up the pace it is now throughout, but again you haven't included it in your list :p

Out of that list i'd vote Bioshock 2 as the 'lame pup'. Really didn't rate that game in the slightest. Honorable mention goes to Mass Effect 2 as runner up, sadly i found many of the characters bland and unlikeable and it got a little formulaic after a while, other than that it was fantastic.

Heavy Rain is a new ip?

Anyways that would be mine, closely followed by Alan Wake.

Still don't think they will measure up against Mafia 2, Civ 5, Deus Ex 3 and Fallout 3:NV later this year. :)
 
Definitely Heavy Rain for me, closely followed by Mass Effect 2.

Red dead redemption i thought i'd love, but about half way through now and its a chore tbh.
 
not sure on best game but the one that I have clocked most hours in is MH3

But RDR was fun for a while but it gets boring quickly with so much auto-aim
 
Hard to say, Heavy Rain was a different experience to anything else and i enjoyed it more than i would.
GOW3 was awesome from start to finish with great set peices etc, didnt think it would top 2 but it did with less padding and better combat.
I would also put Bayonetta on the list just because it was a lot of fun and also just a bit Mad.
 
Got to be Heavy Rain for me :)

It was so hyped up for some people - and it lived up to the hype in my opinion :)
