What's been your favourite? Maybe we'll get some ideas for the holiday sales.

Mine came along relatively late on: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

I've had to shortlist 10 games for the poll.

Yes, it's quite a big list but to be fair I think it's been a pretty good year for releases. I have a few of the games on the list, and I'm interested to see how well rated some of the games I've still to pick up are.

What message is it that you're trying to convey here? Are you saying that's not your game of the year?

I'm asking which game was your favourite, I'm not asking which was your least favourite.

Nier Automata for me. So much fun and addictive.

I'll need to try this on the strength of a Gregster recommendation; one added to my Crimbo sales wishlist.

I don't think Player Unknown's Battleground should be on the list since it's basically in Beta and not released as a complete game

You don't have to vote for it.

I got similar moans regarding TW3: Blood and Wine in last year's poll as it was DLC and not a game... And it actually went on to win the poll.

I picked Wolfenstein as after finishing it I could just start all over again, I haven't had a game grip me like that since Witcher 3.

The cinematics are brilliant, great comedy and characters.

Is Wolfenstein one of those games you can't play without having played the previous games? Or can you just jump in the Wolfenstein 2 like you can with Witcher 3?

You can jump straight in.

Having just finished Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, it really should be a contender on the list for game of the year. Very highly rated with critics but perhaps not so much recognition around here - a game unlike any other I've played - worth checking out.

Nier Automata for me. Wasn't expecting to like it at all as I'm not a huge fan of those types of games with a heavy Japanese influence. Fantastic game though, really took me by surprise.

As soon as I've complete AC:O I'm getting into that. It must be selling well as it didn't get any reduction in the recent sales.
